Practice that talks back
Stop watching lessons. Start living them.
Nerds Out drops you into real conversations — ordering coffee, running a meeting, nailing an interview — with live coaches, classmates, or AI characters ready to talk back. Get feedback the moment you're done talking.
Why it's different
A video can't correct your pronunciation.
MOST LANGUAGE APPS
Watch a video. Repeat a phrase. Match a flashcard. Close the app and hope it sticks next time you actually need it.
NERDS OUT
Walk into the café. Order it wrong. Get corrected mid-sentence by someone who's actually listening. Walk out having actually used it.
Places to practice
Pick a scene. Any scene.
Every scenario drops you into a real situation with someone on the other side — a coach, a classmate, or an AI character who reacts to what you actually say.
Order Like You Mean It
Navigate a real menu, small-talk with the barista, and handle the "sorry, what?" moment without freezing.
Run the Room
Open a meeting, field a tough question, and wrap with next steps — live, in the language you're learning.
Find Your Way
Stop someone on a virtual street, ask for directions, and actually understand the answer they give you.
Nail the Interview
Answer "tell me about yourself" without freezing. Practice with an AI panel or a live coach.
Join a Live Class
Real teacher, real classmates, real-time conversation — dropped into a scene together. No rewind button.
More on the way
You tell us the scene.
Doctor's visit, apartment hunting, first date — early access members help pick what we build next.
Try it yourself
Order a coffee. See how it feels.
A small taste of one scene, in text. The real thing includes voice, full avatars, and a live person or AI character reacting to you in real time.
Pick a response above to continue the scene.
How it works
From scene to fluent, step by step.
Pick your scene
Café, boardroom, city street, interview chair — choose where you actually want to get better.
Step in
Join with a live coach, classmates, or an AI character who's ready to riff with whatever you say.
Talk it out
Real back-and-forth, not multiple choice. Mess up mid-sentence — that's the whole point.
Get feedback that actually helps
Specific notes on what landed and what to fix, right after you speak — not three chapters later.
Watch it add up
Fluency, confidence, and vocabulary tracked scene after scene, so progress is a fact, not a feeling.
What's included
Everything you need to actually speak the language.
Live classes with expert coaches
Real teachers, live, on a schedule that fits you.
Self-paced practice
Drop into any scene whenever you've got ten minutes — no class required.
Real-world scenarios
Situations you'll actually run into, not textbook dialogues.
Avatar-based interaction
Show up as yourself, in a space built around actually talking.
Peer learning
Practice alongside other learners, not just a screen that talks back.
Desktop, mobile & VR
Same scene, any device — full headset immersion whenever you want it.
Progress tracking & insights
See exactly how your speaking is improving, session by session.
That's the full set for launch — early access members help prioritize what comes after.
Know your growth
Watch your speaking improve, scene by scene.
Every session feeds a simple picture of where you're getting stronger — not just a streak counter.

Questions
Before you jump in.
Do I need a VR headset?+
No — every scene works on desktop and mobile. Put on a headset when you want full immersion; it's an option, not a requirement.
Is Nerds Out for individuals or for companies?+
Both. Learn on your own with self-paced scenes and live classes, or bring your team in with cohorts, custom scenarios, and manager-level progress reporting.
What languages will be available?+
We're building the first scenes now. Tell us which language you're learning when you join early access — it'll shape what we build first.
How is this different from a flashcard or grammar app?+
Those teach you words. Nerds Out puts you in a conversation and makes you use them — with a real person or character on the other side, and feedback right after.
Do I need to already speak the language to start?+
Scenes are built for a range of levels, from your first ordering-a-coffee attempt to a full client-meeting run-through. You pick the scene that matches where you are.
When can I start?+
We're opening early access in waves. Join the list below and we'll bring you in as scenes go live.
